Transportation from WL to HDD

OK this is probably posted somewhere on this board, but because I can't find it, I hope someone can help me.

My only non disney moment in all my trips to disney over the years, happened when I was trying to get back to the TTC after the late show of the HDD (back in those days, the buses still ran to the TTC and we were staying at the Poly). The wait (for at least 40 of us) was over an hour for a bus to finally get there.

So, to make for a smoother situation this time - my question for the transportation experts is -

What is the easiest way to get back to the WL after the final show of HDD? We plan to ride the boat from WL to FW, because I am sure it will be running when we depart. Will is still be running after the show? If it is no longer running to WL, will it be running to MK (we are going next week, and MK will be open until at least 11 that night -not sure if it's a EMH night or not), because we could ride there and switch boats or get the bus to WL.
Or, do we try to get an internal loop bus out (never did that, but if someone can tell me the color I want, I am sure we can figure it out) to the bus stop and go from there? Short of walking (or swimming, neither of which I plan to do), what is the best option?

If the MK is open to 11:00 that evening, the boats should be running even later than that, so you should be alright.

Have fun at the HDDR, my wife and I will be there on 6/23!!!

Both boat routes should be running.

Just ask where the next stop will be. The large boat should be heading to the MK and then WL.

The small boat may be going to CR first, then WL. Or it may be going to WL first, then CR.

FYI, if MK isn't open, Ther now are busses waiting at the Settlement bus stop (right next to Pioneer Hall) to take guests back to their resorts directly.

There is a semi-internal route for FW that does run out to WL. I think it is the Orange route but just ask any driver when they stop at Settlement. The boat is also an option just as they said above ask the skipper where it is going, it's a very long ride out to MK and then back to WL.

But if you are not in a rush and it is a nice night it is a very pleasant ride... especially sitting outside in the back. If it is still running I would personally take the launch that runs the FW-CR-WL route even if it is going the long way around.
