Looking for ideas on transportation from Universal to Anaheim. Don't want to rent a car and drive in LA if I can avoid it. I HATE driving in LA. But also not looking to take an uber either. We would rather not sit in a car with a stranger for the long drive in traffic. Public transportation is a joke in SoCal so that is not an option. I even checked for flights in between Burbank and John Wayne but couldn't find any.

So I was wondering if their are any buses that go in between the two areas. We would have our luggage with us so not sightseeing type tour buses. More like an airport shuttle bus. I have not found any going from the Hilton in Universal City or the Burbank Airport so I was wondering if anyone knows of any?

if you want to get creative you can do what I did one year.
You could get a Supershuttle from Hilton Universal City to LAX or John Wayne, then get another Supershuttle from the airport to Disney.

There is also a direct train, travel time 1 hour from Union Station in Downtown LA to Anaheim Amtrak station. You would then need to take either Uber or ART bus to Disney.

I was afraid no easy solution existed. I'll probably just have to rent a car. Maybe we'll take the scenic route and get lunch at the farmers market. Make a day of it. lol

Uber really is the easiest option. It is not as awkward as you might perceive.

You will have a stranger as a driver in your shuttle as well.

Shuttle Van's are a lot bigger and more impersonal in my experience. I was in a uber a few days ago and we sat in traffic for 25 minutes and while the person was nice I just didn't care to be in a Honda civic with someone I didn't know that long. I don't mind uber for a ten minute ride somewhere but going from the Valley all the way Anaheim is just to much for me. I checked the one way rental rates and it's 50 bucks so I'll probably just get the rental and drive.
