I'm a WDW veteran of many trips but this will be my first visit to Disneyland (November 7-9) to celebrate my 60th birthday. I've read a lot of tips on this board and I really appreciate all the Disneyland information that's available here for planning. It's one of the best websites that I've visited trying to put my trip together.

My questions relate to transportation between SNA and GCH. I'll be traveling with my 27 yo son. After reading all the advice here, I've decided to use the Disneyland Resort Express shuttle between the airport and hotel. Here are the questions that I have after looking at the Graylines website regarding the shuttle. First, the website indicates that no advance reservations are necessary at one point. Then later they indicate that reservations must be made no later than 48 hours in advance. Does anyone know which is true? Second, we have a 9:30 a.m. flight out of SNA. If the shuttle operates every hour on the hour, which shuttle do we need to take to have enough time to make our flight (6 a.m. or 7 a.m.)?

Thanks to everyone for all the information here on the boards and "have a magical day"!

Hello from another WDW veteran (who visits DL once every 2 years or so)!

Grayline's info reads: "Reservations from the airport are not required but are recommended for groups of 10 or more." That would explain the bit why they give further details about making reservations >48 hours in advance.

You are fine with not making a reservation for the Disneyland Resort Express bus if its just the 2 of you.

We've used the shuttle - and have been mildy unimpressed with the service. It worked, but getting them to pick us up at DLH upon checkout was another story - we ditched the shuttle and took the bus. We're using the bus again in 4 days.

It takes a bit of getting used to. Dining reservations are also not like WDW's - you get no confirmation # and they are easy to make even in less than 30 days. Everything's a bit "simpler" with DL. Enjoy your 60th birthday!

Disney_Villain, not the OP, but can you clarify the difference you're making when you use "shuttle" and "bus"?

I use "shuttle" when talking about a smallish van like with Super Shuttle. When I've seen the Disneyland Express vehicle, it's a big bus.

I've never taken the DE bus, but I've been happy with Super Shuttle, especially from and to SNA. I have the Entertainment Book which gives a discount, and although they like to pick up on the very early side (safe vs sorry) they've been very efficient.
