Transportation from Tampa

We are staying in Tampa and would like to spend a day at the Magic Kingdom. Does anyone know if any of the tour companies run a day trip to Disney from Tampa. We don't want to rent a car and drive. Thanks!

Mears runs a bus from Busch Gardens near Tampa for $5 per person R/T. But, strangely, they don't stop at Disney World. Their stops are at Seaworld, Universal, and the Premium Outlet Mall. You might call Mears to see if they have anything else.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately I called them and they don't even have a shuttle going from Tampa to Orlando in the morning. They go from Orlando to Tampa so the only shuttle going from Tampa to Orlando is the return trip at night. Any other suggestions anyone?

I'm still coming up empty in regard to getting from Tampa to Orlando, the only thing I came up with was 2 transportation companies offering a taxi or van for around $250 round trip, which is kind of high. Does anyone think this is worth it? We were in Disney last year, but my daughters are dying to spend another day at MK and I wondering if I should just go for it, regardless of the price.

Why don't you just rent a car? It would probably be around $30 for a 24hr period!

We really don't want to rent a car, neither my husband or myself like to drive at night in a place we've never driven before.

SK1210, Just want to welcome you to the Dis Board. I noticed that you are from Staten Island ,N.Y., as I am. We have a condo in the Tampa area, (actually closer to Sarasota). A few years ago I took a plane from Tampa Airport to Orlando. I don't remember the price but I don't think it was too costly. Anyway, just wanted to say Hi to another Staten Islander! Enjoy your trip!
