So we are still working on finding transportation from SNA to our hotel HOJO. I am thinking we might do a towncar which is $75 plus gratuity, which is a round trip rate for our trip from the airport and then back. Does this sound good? Or does anyone else have any other advice.

Sounds good to me, Ruthie. Pretty comparable to what you would pay for a taxi, and this is a set guaranteed rate for both directions. I say book it.

Sounds like a good round trip rate to me as well. If traffic is light, your taxi fare may be a little lower, but if traffic is heavy, it will probably be higher, so getting a fixed rate of $75 seems like a good deal. Can you tell me what company you are using? -- Suzanne

The taxi rate is generally only 35 dollars. Some drivers will give you a fixed rate of that from SNA to DL if you ask some won't depends who you get.

Well if you are taking a car then yeah 75$ sounds about right. But if you dont need a car to get around to other places such as the zoo or sea world a few hours away, I would highly recommend taking supershuttle from the airport to your hotel. Its $10 per person each way, cause you can get supershuttle to pick you up from your hotel after your trip and bring you back to the airport. You just need to call them a few days in advance and tell them when your flight is coming in, and when you would like to leave your hotel at the end of the trip. Its wonderful.

Its with the Limo King and they will have someone at the baggage claim to meet and greet and take us to the hotel. We get there around 10:30 AM so hopefully it wont take too long to get to our hotel.

I always thought it would be fun to have someone waiting for you, holding up a sign with your name on it, as you come down the escalator! I know I'm weird but someday I'm going to hire a limo just so I can experience that! In the mean time...we always take the Super Shuttle...only $10.00 a person!

If you have more than 3 people, I'd say go for it! The problem with shuttles (like SuperShuttle) is that they wait for other people and have to drop them at their hotels, too, so it takes longer to get to yours.

On the way back to the airport, I've had to ride 40 minutes out of the way before on a shuttle because he had another person to deliver, and I almost missed my flight!

For $75 round-trip, you'd actually SAVE money and time if you have 4 or more people.

Ter-moo was it just you who took the supershuttle or were there others with you> I find that can make a difference too. The drivers are supposed to stay in the same general area for pick ups and drop offs. I wonder why you got a shuttle which took you so far. That is totally crazy, I actually feel bad for your situation, thats quite unfortunate. I am glad you didnt miss your flight though.

It was my daughter and me. We were heading back for the airport, and the shuttle picked someone up at the airport before getting us at the hotel. He then proceeded to take that guy home to Leisure World in Seal Beach which is a long ways from the airport. I was pretty angry, but luckily we had enough time to get to the airport. It just seemed stupid to drive us so far out of the way when the airport is only a few minutes away.

I can imagine. I would be breathing fire myself. I am still happy you made it to your flight. Thats all that matters.

We have the same issue. There will be six of us and I want something reliable that I don't have to worry about. We are getting in at 8:30 on a Friday night and I want someone THERE. I don't want to have to stand around and wait or try to hire a cab and finagle a price. I like the idea of having one already worked out. Plus I want something already set for my return. We are flying out at 7:20 on the following Monday. What time do you think we would need to leave the parks to get to the airport by about 5 on Monday? And for the OP would the town car fit 6 people do you think? And would it still be 75 or would we have to pay more? Or do you even know? Does anyone else know?

We have used Montemar in the past and they quoted me 60 bucks plus 20% gratuity ONE way. So we are talking 120 bucks PLUS tip. I could do the cab coming FROM the airport but then I have to get back and I want to spend as much time as possible on Monday as I can without having to stress about someone picking us up. HELP!!!

This towncar sounds like a good deal. What do you guys think?
