Transportation from MCO to...

Can anyone tell me the least expensive way to get a family of 5 (including 3 car seats we won't have with us) from MCO airport to Universal Orlando, then (3 days later) from UO to Port Canaveral, then (one week later) from the port back to MCO?

I've considered:
rental car (one-ways or keeping it the whole time)
shuttles
private car/van

Anyway I look at it, it will cost us over $300 for this transportation. Any ideas or tips?

We've gotten 10 day minivan rentals for around $225 on two different trips (both during the slower season). I would go that route, including bringing your own car seats so you KNOW that the kids are in appropriate seats that fit them and that you know how to use properly.
