To anyone and everyone that has stayed at the Best Western in DTD.

If we don't want to rent a car at the airport to get to the hotel, does Best Western have a shuttle that gets you to their DTD resort? If not has anyone taken a taxi to WDW and approximately how much does it cost? Or any other modes of transportation that would be quick, easy, and not too expensive.

Thanks in advance :thumbsup2

we used to stay there a lot when it was Travel Lodge and then it went to Best western and was suppose to be remodeled and all they have done is the lobby and halls. we were just there for a"quick" trip of 4 days in May and our first room was filthy and a mess and the second room the ceiling tiles falling off. NEVER again.:scared1: the food was still good and we made it the three nights but they claimed no other rooms so we will never go back now...they were to pick us up in a shuttle and plane was delayed so had to take a Mears from MCO to hotel. we have stayed on property for years now and this was a spear of the moment trip and all were full. If you have a choice try POP it is a value and at certain times can get free dining and is counter service but can upgrade for small charge and is well worth it. and then take the Disney Magical Express (included in your package at a Disney resort on site) from MCO right to your resort and they handle all your bags.or are many on site properties same price or less than that hot mess...we went thru priceline and done with that as well time we paid daily resort fees and etc was higher than any value on site property...just my opinon :surfweb:

We stayed at the Doubletree near DTD in 2009 and took the city bus (I believe it was 111) to and from the airport. It was not a quick option by any means, but it was inexpensive, only $2/person each way (it may have gone up). It took us about an hour each way, and dropped off and picked up across the parking lot and street from the Doubletree (where the stop was). I think there was another stop in DTD but we didn't ride it that far. (it then continues on to the TTC and Disney University)

We made sure to each pack only in carry ons, so we didn't have too much to deal with on the bus, but it was fairly simple. The way back was even easier, because we didn't even have to pay attention to get off at the right stop, since it dead ends at the airport. Definitely not Magical Express, but I couldn't convince my parents to stay on property, so this was the next best option.

The DTD resorts are discussed in the Orlando Hotels and Attractions forum, I'll move this over there. :thumbsup2
