Transportation from Long Beach Airport

We are flying into Long Beach Airport, instead or Orange County next week. What is the best, easiest and/or cheapest way to get from there to the Disneyland Hotel or is it best just to rent a car?If so does anyone know of any cheap rental rates-seems there are not nearly the offers for Long Beach as there are for SNA or LAX

I don't know if renting a car is cheaper but my husband was quoted a pretty good deal with Super Shuttle when we were checking it out. You might want to call them and see what kind of rate you can get.

A taxi is about $35 going to DLR and $40 going back to the airport. We always take a cab since we never leave the resort and have no need for a car.

Once you get your luggage you cross a tiny street and there is a taxi stand right there, with cabs waiting to take you away!

There are two 'taxi'-related questions I have:

1. Somebody mentioned the importance of asking the taxi driver for a flat rate. What is this about? What is the difference?

2. I've read the cost for a limo may be similar to the cost for a taxi; how close are we talking? (I'm talking a town car or similar, not a stretch limo or anything.) Just curious!

Does anybody know?

We just used Super Shuttle from Long Beach airport and it was about $90 one way for the five of us. I requested a private vehicle instead of having to share and go to other locations. The driver was nice, we had just gotten our luggage and were trying to figure out where to get the shuttle when the driver called dh's cell phone. He told him where we were and he said to stay there and he'd be right over (near the car rental locations) Not sure of how much round trip cost is as we rented a car for the 2nd half of our vacation (post Disney)

I was able to book and pay online a couple of days before our arrival.
