How should our family of 6 get to a DL area Hotel from LAX? We do not want to rent a car and we will have LOTS of luggage! Thanks!

I booked Super Shuttle for the 3 of us travelling. I've read some good things here about them...because we are arriving later in evening I didn't want to use the Disneyland Express because it will take longer to get to our hotel.

I booked a limo for my family...it was fun! There were 10 of us and about 14 pieces of luggage. Worked out great except of the booster seats...the company owner told me there were two shoulder straps in the car but turned out to be only one. Sorry to say, we won't be using them anymore for two kids.

I think SuperShuttle would be great for you. It can be kind of a pain in a small group, because they will try to fill up before leaving the airport. They can only carry 7 passengers though, so you would probably be up an away.
I would only do this if they discount for a group. It is like $30 rnd trip, while renting a private car is $100 or so each way. For 6 at the regular rate, it would be $180...so for a little more you could have a private car meet you curb-side. That is always nice imo. :goodvibes

Another vote for supper shuttle! On my trip 4 weeks ago :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: I miss DL (sorry i digress) but we had arranged supper shuttle. Once we got to the curb, we waited maybe 5 minutes for our van to arrive. The driver and the curb staff were very nice. We flew southwest so were terminal 1. We got our choice seats and we were off the fill the van at other terminals. The driver carried on conversations with all the different passengers throughout the trip and was very informative. On the way back to LAX the give times like between xxx and xxx. From the first time we waited 10 minutes and our van was there. We got on and again filled the van. We arrived a little after the two hour mark, but still was there in plenty of time. This driver wasn't as talkative, but it was still a present ride. I think this would be a good choice for you!

I have used both Super Shuttle and a Limo service in the past. When using the Super Shuttle I have waited up to 40 minutes to get an empty shuttle travelling to the area.

In December I took the family and booked a Limo. After a 15 hour plane flight the last thing I wanted was to wait for a shuttle with 2 DD aged 8 and 5. It was great. Driver was there at the gate as we exited customs. HE got the car and loaded all our luggage.

I did learn one thing the Limo was much cheaper than a taxi. We took a taxi back to LAX and cost us $40 more than the Limo.

We used Super Shuttle (that's what WDTC books), but I would never do it again! We prebooked a seat and still had to wait almost an hour on a Thursday morning at about 10 a.m. No one wore seatbelts - even though there is a sign posted that you have to wear them by law. The van we got was a bit of a rattletrap - things were hanging off the roof. The driver never said a word the entire trip - a little uncomfortable. My son and I could not sit together either - I had to ask someone to make room for my son as they were sitting with a seat in between, but that's it. Not a pleasant experience and I think I would book a private ride next time!

I guess I am a little different in that I had a good experience with Supershuttle, although we did circle the airport 3 times picking up more passengers. Granted, you will have a party of 6 so that may not be an issue. What may be the time consuming part is getting a van that is empty, vs one that has a couple people already in it. For our return back to the airport, they were right on time with our pick up also. They did have a private van option, that you may want to consider given the size of your party...

Which limo company did you use?
