Transportation from LAX to Disney Resort

I'm planning a trip to DL with my 2 daughters for the first time for 10/2011. I've been to DL 1x back in 2004 with a friend who drove us from Lancaster, CA for the day.

WDW has the Magical Express from The Orlando airport to their resorts & I use it everytime I fly into Orlando. I go at least 1-2x a year now that I'm a DVC member.

This will be the first time either of my daughters have been out west & I wanted them to experiance DisneyLand at least once in their lives so it'll be our yearly Mother-daughter trip.

Any suggestions on traveling to & fro. Should I take a taxi to DL or rent a car? I'll be using my DVC points at one of the resorts.

Besides the name and the fact that it's a coach, it really isn't like ME. It's not free, it's run by Grayline, there are strict schedules, they don't take your luggage automatically....


Just in case you were going strictly by the name, I wanted to make sure you knew that.

Right - this is kind of like what WDW had before they started ME in 2005.

What?? Oh, please explain, this is worrying me now! We will be there next week. I assumed that if they take the four of us, they take our luggage too!

LOL! Bumber just meant that they don't load and unload as nicely as DME. Of course they will transport your luggage for you.

Thanks everyone, I'll be keeping that in mind when planning our budget. ME in Orlando is awesome & I use it all the time; service is outstanding.

Once I get to DL I plan to just stay on property & take advantage of everything DL has to offer. I've a year to plan & hope to stay at the Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa & possibly get in a couple dinner ressie's as well. Till then It's countdown to WDW in Dec
