Transportation from hotel to Universal?

We are a family of 6. Two adults and four children ages 8-15.

Are 6 people allowed in one taxi in Orlando? Are there taxi stands outside the gates of Universal at closing? Is it hard to get a taxi at closing? Would it be better to rent a ride from a transportation company? We do not want to rent a car.
Any advice is appreciated.

There are taxis that are vans. You should be able to get one to accomodate your party size without any problems. We were a party of 7 once and didn't have any issues.

Taxis are eagerly waiting at closing and getting a van shouldn't be too difficult.
