Anyone ever arrange for transportation from DL to the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank? I see from MapQuest it's about 40 miles.

Have any companies you'd like to recommend? I need info ASAP--if I can manage to snag tickets for the D23 Archives event, I'd love to go to this, but don't really want to worry about renting a car and driving through LA on a Friday afternoon.

I don't know about any companies offering direct transfers, but we did find VIP tours quite accommodating with letting us use some of their other tours as transfers. EG to spend the day in Hollywood we took a Universal Studios bus and spent the day in the area. It was really easy and there were plenty of options to choose for return times.

We drove our own car from DL to the Studios for a D23 Tour last summer. Becuase it really is not near other tourist sites, I would guess your choices are going to be complicated and lengthy public transit routing with multiple changes, a pricey taxi, a pricey limo or a rental car.

You can plan a public transit trip at the LA Metro Trip Planner. Not expensive, but will probably take 4 hours each way.

Other than public transit, I would guess the rental car will be the only option for less than $100 and would be your best option for both price and convenience. I would plan on at least 2 hours each way if driving and hope that this is very generous and you make it in under an hour. Best of luck -- Suzanne

You could take Amtrak from the Anaheim station to the Burbank station. It's about 4 miles from the Burbank station to Disney Studios - not sure how much a taxi would run for that distance.

Thanks for the responses...keep 'um coming. We've got our tickets to the event as soon as they became available today, now it's just the transportation that needs to be worked out. BFF says she wouldn't mind doing the actual driving if it comes down to it and we decide to rent a car, but if I could find something less stressful for both of us that wouldn't totally break the bank, I'm up for it.

We're staying at the Disneyland Hotel in July and are driving down to the Studios for the day to meet a guy DH used to work with. We're picking up a rental car from Alamo in Downtown Disney on the monday morning and dropping it back the next morning at LAX when we fly home. It's only costing us $72 including taxes. I know you said that wasn't your first choice since you didn't want to drive, but it's an option, maybe?
