I know the walk to Epcot is short from the Boardwalk but can anyone tell me how is transportation from BC/YC to the other parks. Since MGM is by boat only how long and is it possible to walk ?? And do these resorts share bus service as well?? Thanks!:yay:

BWI/V shares buses with the S/D at all times. In the middle of the day, when it isn't nearly as busy, all the resorts share a bus....BW, S/D, YC/BC. Then, closer to park closing, they split up again...YC/BC has it's own bus.
The walk to MGM is very nice. The only time I don't like it is mid-day when it is hot/humid, or raining. Otherwise, it is quite pleasant. It takes about 15-20 mins...depending on which resort you are leaving from, and how quickly you walk. I have made it from the Intl Gateway to the MGM turnstiles in 18 mins but I was flying!!! In order to get to the walkway, just head to either the S/D or BW. It's actually six of one, half dozen of another which way you choose. The walkway runs along the canal, behind the BW, and leads right up to the main entrance area of MGM.

The boat is fun, but it can take awhile. It takes about 15 mins from the S/D to get to MGM. So, if you have to wait for a boat to arrive, you may have to add on an addtl 20+ mins to that time.

As far as the basic transportation at the BW, YC/BC...the buse do a pretty decent job. The only bus that I find I have to wait overlong for is the bus to DTD...and that has been the same at all the resorts. Those buses just don't seem to be as frequent as the regular park buses.

Hi, In the mourning when going MK or AK is the BWI/V bus the 1st stop or should we walk over to the S/D bus stop?:confused3

Usually, the S/D are the first to be picked up. Then BW. There are times when that may not be the case though. I have gotten on the bus when it has been empty and then we have gone to the S/D. It can change at any time. So, I would recommend just staying where you are.

We either waited for the bus or if Epcot was open, we would walk through Epcot and catch the monorail. The walk to Epcot is nice, MGM is a little farther. We decided to walk it after a day and MGM and in the heat. It was tiresome. We took the boat from then out.

When staying at the BCV we have both walked and taken the boat to MGM. It is a pleasant stroll along the canal. However if it was very hot, or we were feeling lazy, we had the option of a pleasant boat ride.
We found the bus service to be good. The buses to the MK in the morning stopped first at the YC, then the BC and then directly to the MK. We never waited very long, nor did we ever have to stand.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like commuting from any of these resorts is pretty good and I like that there are different options. We will have a car, but since we will be there during super crowded holiday time I'd rather leave the driving to someone else if possible. I have already booked AKL but because of its remoteness and construction issues I'm going to switch to BC probably tomorrow.
Thanks again!!:cool1:
