How do you get from the airport to Universal studios hotels? Do they offer free shuttles? Also, is there any transportation, short of renting a car, to sea world from Universal? One last question.... is there anyway to stop at a grocery store for milk/perishables before getting to the park?
Thanks!

If you hire a town car, they will make a grocery stop for you. The hotels do NOT offer a shuttle from the airport. The Universal hotels DO offer a free shuttle for Sea World. The times it runs change with the seasons.

Welcome aboard.

I tell everyone to rent the car. Yes, you pay parking fees, and pay for gas, the but convience is worth it. You can visit the grocery store, stock a cooler, and go to the other parks when you want on your schedule. I've made pages that give money saving tips in pictures.

The shuttle from an onsite hotel to SWF doesn't work well, because it leaves late, and there have been stories of it being crowded, full, and people who rush the bus when it arrives.
Rent the car.

i usually use mears shuttle (www.mearstransportation.com). i believe it is $25 roundtrip per adult and less for a child. sorry can't remember the price but check the website.

regarding sea world, i have never used the one at the universal resorts but some on these boards have said that they had long wait times for the free shuttle and ended up taking the short cab ride instead.

if the grocery store is what you want, then i agree with the above posters regarding the rental car. or, you can do what i did which was ship a box of groceries to myself at the resort from home and just bought milk when i got there. BIG MONEY SAVER and very convenient.

How did you buy milk when you got there? I can pack everything but the milk and my kids are big milk drinkers.

You can buy milk in the ice cream shop in HRH if you are staying there. A pint costs about as much as a gallon at home, but was still cheaper than the alternatives--breakfast out, rental car to get to the store. I don't remember if we were able to buy it conveniently in RPR or not. I have not yet stayed at PBH, so I don't know about there either.

Hey twill444,

I got some great advise on these boards. To go to Universal from the airports use a private driver listed on taxi-mco.com.

The post said they used Ed Korgan and really liked him. Cost is $80 roundtrip with a stop by the grocery store. They will meet you at the baggage area and take you right to Universal.

I was going to use mears shuttle, but that was around $118 (there are 5 of us)

you can get milk at RPR at the lounge in the lobby. they have a gallon in the fridge and sell by 16 oz. it was around $2.13 with tax for a 16 oz container. i sent the kids down to get everyday.

Thanks for the info about the taxi page! I just emailed Ed for May.
