My brother is coming for a few days to visit us in Disney. Can you give me some suggestions for how he can get to the hotel from the airport for a decent amount of money. The service we use is too expensive for him and he can do the express since the room is in my name. Can he catch a cab? Help!

He can do the ME as long as his name is on the reservation. So just add him.

A cab is probably going to be just as costly as a car service (if not more costly. Cabs charge while stuck in traffic!)

I agree with Carol. As long as he's on the reservation, he can use ME. Just call ME and make the arrangements. Now if he's coming to visit and you are over the occupancy limit on the room you have bigger problems. By putting him on your room ressie he will have a room key and access to EMH (if you use them). They will charge you an extra adult charge per night if you already have 2 adults in your room. This can range from $10/nt to $25/nt depending on where you're staying.

If you can't add him to your room, I wouldn't use a cab, it would be way to expensive for one person to travel. You could do the mears thing for about $20 and have him trek for hours on the shuttle, but it is cheap. You could also do a shuttle for him as well, town car is usually around $65 or Transfloridian for $45. Right now Transfloridian is offering $20 off their transport for roundtrip if you book online. You're going to have weigh your options and what you are willing to accept.

OK, thanks. He is on the ressie so maybe the me would be better. Just takes so long though. I will try that though. Thanks again!

chrissyc....if you brother were to take a cab it would take him about 60 mins...10 min from plane to baggage claim, about 15 mins wait for bags, then 5 mins to lower level, 5 mns to hail a cab, then 30 mins to the resort. And if you use DME it's about the same. That wait in baggage claim will be about the same as waiting to checkin with DME and then waiting for a bus.
The only time it has taken me less than an hour from deplaning to resort was using a towncar service, with only carryon bags. That time it was 10 mins from plane to level 2 where the driver was, then 10 mins to get to lower level and wait for car to come around. And 30 mins to resort. For that extra 20 mins or so, you can save a fair chunk of change.
