Transportation for fireworks dinner at Cali. Grill

We're planning a fireworks dinner at California Grill this August during our stay at POFQ. Our plan is to get to the MK around 4 or 5 and spend a few hours there (we'll have also spent the a.m. at the park, but will have gone back to FQ to rest, shower and change) A big motivator for doing this is to see the fireworks while avoiding the crowds when it's time to go home.

With that in mind, which of the following are feasible and ethical? Which would you choose?

1) Park at the Contemporary when we come back in the afternoon, then monorail to the park and back (will they let us do this? I heard you can only park 3 hours with dinner reservations).

2) Park at the MK parking lot, and then move the car to the Contemporary right before dinner.

3) Take Disney transportation to the park, and then taxi back to POFQ.

Are there any other options I'm missing?

Unless you want to valet park you will be allowed only a three hour parking pass at the Contemporary (or any Disney resort).
Your best and easiest option is to grab a taxi outside the main entrance of the Contemporary. The Cast Member at the podium will direct you to one. Normally taxis are waiting outside all the Disney resorts. If one is not available the CM will get one for you right away. Very reasonable and fast.

The easiest Disney transportation would be to take the DTD bus from CR, then either transfer there to bus or boat to POFQ.

Depending on the time of your dinner and MK hours that night, you might still be able to walk back to the MK and take a bus back to POFQ. If MK is closed by then, as another poster stated, just take the bus to DTD. The boat ride from DTD to POFQ is a nice leisurely way to end your evening.
