Transportation between WDW & US

Does anyone know if there is transportation between Disney and Universal Studio's beside a city bus? We want to stay on property at Disney with all the perks but visit Universal Studio and Islands of Adventure. Any sugesstion from someone who has done this. Planning trip for Summer 2009

if you stay at a disney resort, you can sign up the night before for the mears shuttle that does the drops offs for day visitors to universal.

seats are limited so sign up at the concierge desk in the resort lobby.
even the value resorts have the concierge help desk.

last i knew it ran $14 pp rt.
you will get a pick up time when you book the shuttle.

other choices are town car, taxi, rental car for the day.
you can get a rental car at the disney car service.
if you rent a car, add in the parking charge for universal parking.

the city bus will take you 1 and a half hours to get there.
you take the bus to sw at dtd. then take the other bus to the drop off at the universal stop. walk to universal from there.
it cost about $2 one way pp.


i wouldn't do the city bus.......too long......

Thanks, I just wish that US/IOA would have transportation from the airport like Magical Express, I am very spoiled and having a hard time justifying even visiting US/IOA when it seems so inconvientent.

you can call mears shuttle for transportation from mco to uo.
they also deal with taxis

i used the ME one time and never again.
some people love it and some don't
personal choice.

the ME charged until 3 years ago.
it was cheaper for me to go with car service or car rental when my entire family went to disney.

i do a 3 leg car service for an affordable amount.
