Transportation between resorts and parks

Hi Everyone,

I was just wondering if someone could give me some tips on transportation between the parks and resorts. We usually stay at Ft. Wilderness and love taking the boat over to MK but this trip we will be staying at ASMO. Can we drive over to Ft. Wilderness and park near the check in and take the boat over? Is it alright to leave the car all day or is that not allowed? We have reservations at CP for breakfast before the park opens and I am trying to figure out if we should drive the car, take the bus or go to FT. Wilderness and take the boat. What would be our best option? We have taken our car to the other parks but never to MK (always took the boat). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It's my understanding that you are not allowed to leave your car parked at another resort in order to use the transportation from there. We stayed at the ASMo in May with an early breakfast at CP. We chose to not chance the buses (plus DH hates buses) and we drove over to the TTC and then took the monorail in. It worked just fine. Have fun and make sure you have your camera ready when you walk down Main Street with very few people! It was awesome!

Well, no.

I would never drive from ASMovies to Ft. Wilderness to get to MK via a boat (or any other way from there).

That would be one of the slowest ways to get to/from.

If you want to drive, it would be much faster to drive to the MK/TTC parking lot and take the monorail.

Or, just get on the MK bus at AS and ride directly to the front gate of MK.
