Transportation Around DW

I copied this from another mouse site. Getting around and getting where we want to be is weighing on me.
Has this been your experience?

The Value resorts are pretty spread out, so there can be a lot of walking, particularly if you don't have a car. Wait times for the buses can be long. Also, it's not at all convenient to eat at another resort, go to Downtown Disney, or attend special meals such as the Polynesian Luau or Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue unless you have a car.​

Twice we've used Disney transportation, and twice we went with a car rental. I much prefered the car, as it gave us the most flexability.

We use Disney trans for almost everything and we hop around alot. Never had a real problem going from place to place resort to resort. There are so many choices to get from one to another you just have to know them all.

But we also get a small rental just in case time is a restriant or for a grocery run.

We use Disney transportation or taxis. It is a pain if you have a reservation at another resort and are coming from your resort since you have to go to a park and wait for another bus to that resort. We've started taking cabs when we have reservations at other resorts.

Tnkrbelle565- I'm with you girlie! I think it was less than 10 bucks last time we took a cab, and I would not want to have the headache of paying for parking and driving around FL!!

On a SIDE note-- DIsney is making MAJOR improvements to thier bus system right now- adding GPS systems, music, and also an on board camera, so The main "Bus HQ" can immediately see which resorts need more buses!! We have been close to the bus "station" every time we have booked a priority room!
