Transportation and grocery for Vero Beach

Is there transportation available from West Palm Beach Airport to Vero Beach. Also, is there grocery shopping nearby.

There is nothing within walking distance. About 3 or 4 miles by car.

I just checked - it's 86 miles from West Palm Beach airport to Disney's Vero Beach. Disney resort is about 10 miles north of the actual city of Vero Beach.

Not sure what types of transportation there are that would be cost effective. If you're not driving or renting a car, it would probably be better to try and fly into Melborne or other small airport closer to the resort. Just a suggestion - I really don't know the airports in the area though.

You will want to have a car at Vero Beach. The only thing within walking distance is Orchid Pizza (carryout). There is a Publix a few miles away, and is about the closest thing to the resort. The resort is very isolated and seems to be in a residential area.

We've stayed there twice and enjoyed both trips. The first time, we didn't leave the resort much. We did need the car for groceries and eating out. The second time, we travelled the area. The Sebastian State Park was a great day trip with picnic.
