I'm driving down to disney in a couple weeks. I'm staying at SSR and have breakfasts reserved at various resorts the entire week. I did do breakfast at resorts close to the park i'm visiting that day (IE: boma breakfast on animal kingdom day ect) I see a lot of transportation threads but I've been unable to find info really pertaining to my specific situation

I'm trying to find out the best way to get around. Going to downtown disney then bus to resort seems like it would take forever, Can I drive to my breakfast resort then bus to the park and leave my car there? Or should I just drive everywhere? How far is the walk really from the parking lots to parks, and ssr to downtown? It's just my girlfriend and I, we are both young and fit enough to not mind walking. My biggest concern is just saving time.

thoughts?

Drive to, and park at, the resort for breakfast.

Choose to either pay to valet park at that resort and leave your car there all day,
or drive from the resort after breakfast to the parking lot of the park you will be visiting that day.

Driving to the resort for breakfast and then to the park is the best option, especially since saving time is your biggest concern. The only situation where I might recommend differently is if you have a breakfast at the Poly or the Contemporary and are going to the MK afterward. The TTC is right next to the Poly so it's easiest to park at the TTC and walk to the Poly, then take the monorail or boat from the Poly to the MK. If having breakfast at the Contemporary, again, park at the TTC, but either take the resort monorail to the Contemporary then walk to the MK or take the ferry or monorail to the MK then walk to the Contemporary.

I agree with the others. Just drive everywhere. Park at the TTC for your MK area breakfast. That early in the morning it should be a short walk from your car to the park entrance ( or TTC). If for some reason the parking lot is filling up early that day, the shuttle trams will save you some walking.

For the most part all I can say is don't drive to Downtown Disney, definitely take a bus, since parking can not only lead to long walks (which you said you don't mind, but nonetheless) along with spending more time than you'd like trying to find a spot. Otherwise, though, I'd still stick with the buses. You don't have to worry about much, and unless it's, for example, something like driving to Poly in the morning, taking the monorail to MK, then coming back at night and eating at Ohana, then driving back. Otherwise, the bus just tends to be simpler for us during vacation. If you're going in peak season though, and you're concerned about bus crowds, the only real problem with using the car is parking. Have a great trip!

Resort guests can't take a direct bus from one resort to another.
So, the question about DTD was about taking a bus to DTD and transferring to another bus to a specific resort.
Can be done.
VERY inefficient, however.

Right, I had questioned the time it took to do a transfer at DTD. (thank you for the info though :-) ) I am going the week before christmas, I assume the crowds may be higher than when I went in March at least. Judging from the responses here, as well as my experience in March without a car (I'd estimate an hour total in bus rides any time we had to go anywhere), I can't see a reason not to at least drive to breakfast and valet park there for the day, if not drive everywhere.
