Transport to Virgin Downtown Disney Check-In

We normally hire a car but this trip we are on a cruise then at Disney for 9 days. As such we have decided not to hire a car and rely on Disney transportation. My question relates to getting to the Virgin Atlantic Check-In which opens each morning behind Cirque de Soleil. We are staying at Kidani village and wondered the best way to get there for about 8:30am. Are you allowed to use Disney Buses if you have your luggage with you (one case each and a backpack)? Or will we have to take a cab? Any comments would be appreciated. Cheers.

You're not suppose to bring luggage on the bus and bus service to dtd at that time is poor. Take a taxi

What's an approximate cost for a taxi from AKL to DtD?

I would count on at least $25 due to distance.
