Is the easiest way to get from the Wilderness Lodge to Grand Floridian by boat? and is it just one boat trip or does it involve changing boats?

It would involve a boat ride to MK and switching to the monorail of GF boat.

That said, WL can share buses with GF at times. I would ask the bus driver or at the front desk to see if that is being done. That would be the fastest way to get to GF (or using a cab).

Personally, I plan plenty of time and take the boat to MK or even the boat to CR and take the monorail from there.... I enjoy the transport part and give plenty of time.

That's great thankyou, it's good to know that there are different options. The boat is definately an enjoyable more scenic way to go.

If you want to take WDW transportation then I would take the blue flag boat to the Contemporary which operates each day from 6:45 AM - 11:30 PM. Once you arrive there you can then take the Resort Monorail to the Grand Floridian.

Of course another option you have is taking a taxi which would only be about a 5 minute ride, so it might be worth the small cost.

Keep in mind that if you have a stroller, while you can normally leave it open on the boat from WL to MK, you will definitely have to fold it down on the boat from MK to GF.

I agree though: the boats are a very scenic way to get around, and it's actually faster to get to GF by boat from MK than by monorail (but the opposite is true going from GF to MK).

Usually, buses from WL to AK or DTD stop at GF. In the morning, some DHS buses might, too. But ask the driver (always when going someplace other than what's on the bus' marquee.) Even if the bus was scheduled to go there, it might not if it fills up at an earlier stop.

Don't trust the front desk of any resort for accurate bus info. They mean well, but they're out of the loop.
