I have posted this at the transportation site but thought I'll try my luck here as well.I'll be doing a wonder cruise and am thinking of going straight from the port to Universal. I do not want to drive so what would be the next best alternative? Is there any shuttle service (like Mears) or should I take a cab? How much will it cost by cab? and does anyone know how much it will be by cab from Disney to Universal?

Thanks for asking this question. We too need to know about transportaion problems. We have always done only Disney but now would like to change and go to Universal as well. Is there a shuttle service we can use from Disney to Universal? Does anyone know how much a taxi is from WDW to Universal?

Sorry I couldn't answer your original question, but maybe someone can help us both.

Hi all! I also need some info concerning transportation from a Disney resort to Universal. We don't plan on renting a car for we will be using the shuttle almost all of the time. Thnx!!!

Hopefully this will give you one idea...

This past October my husband and I did airport - universal - Magic cruise - airport and we used Florida Tours for our transportation.

We have used them twice before and they have always provided us with great service and their cars are always extremely comfortable and clean.

They have a website you can link to from the DIS homepage and you can look at their price list, see all their transportation options, and make reservations there if you choose.

We flew in on a Thursday morning, the driver met us in baggage claim, drove us to Portofino, confirmed our Saturday morning pickup...picked us up as scheduled on Saturday morning and drove us to Port Canaveral...re-confirmed the pick-up the following Saturday at the cruise terminal, and was waiting to take us back to the airport when we reluctantly disembarked the Magic one week later.

We're planning on using them for our Universal trip in May and our Disney trip in October.

we also used a towncar service. If memory serves me right, the online prices to/from Disney to/from the port are the same price. I cant even imagin how much a cab would cost!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: . Its about an hour - hour and a half each way to the port.
