Hi. Travelling to Disney World for the first time since 2004 and as a single(have been on around 30 trips before but never on my own)! I am trying to do as many "different" things as possible during this trip and have booked a few specials with Disney.

I have booked for Wild Africa at AK for 26/11 timed at 8.45 and need to be there about 30 minutes before. I am a non-driver. Should I organise a cab or will the first bus (according to Disney at 7.00am) get me there in time. If it is a cab does anyone know approximate journey time, cost etc. and any suggestions what time I should book it for?

I also have the same quandry on 29/11 when I am on the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at 9.00 a.m. - again will the bus get me there okay, I had assumed this one would be okay but opinions greatly welcomed!

Last early morning tour I am doing is Magic of the Trains and I KNOW I have to book a cab for this. Have to be at MK by 7.00 a.m. and apparently dropped at Contemporary Resort and walk from there. Anyone know how long it takes to make the journey by cab, approx how much I need to budget for and what time I would need to book it for?

My other question is regarding getting from POR to Fort Wilderness for horse riding. I have booked a 1.00 p.m. ride and then allowed time to wash up and change before attending the Hoop-de-Doo Dinner at 4.00p.m. I gather the stables are not at the same place as the dinner and there is an internal bus. Does anyone know how frequently these buses run, where they drop off and if this scenario makes sense (the Disney person organising the trip thought it would work well, but any opinions greatly appreciated!)

I'm really excited about travelling, albeit a little apprehensive about my very laden itinerary! I would REALLY appreciate any expertise and suggestions the members could make to make this holiday one to remember.

Thanks.

:cheer2:

The buses run from early enough to get people to the parks etc for breakfast. On Monday we had an ADR at Tusker House at 8:95am we hoped on the bus from French quarter just after 7am and we were at AK by 8:45am

For the horse riding at fort wilderness take a bus to magic kingdom then get the small ferry boat to fort wilderness. The internal bus stop is not far from the marina and the buses are quite regular.

Buses will be running in time to get people to 8am breakfasts at AK - be at the bus stop by about 7.15 and you will have loads of time.

As with AK buses run to get people there for 8am ADRs as its a shorter journey being at the bus stop for 7.30/7.45 should be plenty of time.

POFQ to CR by car is about a 10 minute drive max. It will take 10 to 15 minutes to walk to MK. So if you book a cab for 6.15 you will have time to spare. I don't know how much it will cost but probably about $10.

The trail rides are at the front of the resort and HDD is at the back near Bay Lake.

Best way is bus to MK then boat. All buses from the settlement go to the outpost and vice versa. There is 3 routes and all take about the same amount of time. Bus ride will be 10-15 mins plus up to the same waiting time. There are restrooms near the trial ride check in and HDD.

After your ride you can grab a drink and sit on the rocking chairs by Trails End or on the beach and watch the world go by :goodvibes
