I am going to WDW for the first time(!) in December. I am catching a Greyhound from PNS to MCO and I want to know what the cheapest form of transport to the AS Music is?

Is there a shuttle type transport available rather than hiring a cab?

Alright, I'm a bit confused. I assume PNS is Pensacola, Florida, but by MCO do you mean you are catching a Greyhound bus from Pensacola to the Orlando Greyhound bus station (On John Young Parkway), or are you trying to get a bus from Pensacola to the Orlando International Airport (MCO)? These are two very different locations in Orlando; In Greyhound codes, MCO appears to be located someplace in Oklahoma. So far as I know, Greyhound does not serve the Orlando airport, though I could be mistaken.

From the Orlando Greyhound bus depot, I'm sure there are taxis available, or you could make prior arrangements with a towncar service, of which several are discussed on these boards. If you have very little luggage, there are Lynx public buses also.

Disney's Magical Express is unfortunately only available to persons traveling to/from the Orlando Airport (MCO), with no accomodation for rail or bus passengers.

The Orlando Greyhound has Mears taxis available to go to Disney. They run on the meter.

WHile it's true that Disney's Magical Express is only available between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and your Disney resort, it's not true that you need to fly into or out of MCO to use DME.

DME will drive you to and from MCO regardless of how you got to MCO or where you are going after you get there.

In other words, if someone is flying into the Pensacola airport and is getting some sort of ride to Orlando International Airport, that person is entitled to a DME ride from Orlando International Airport to his/her Disney resort (as long as he/she is named on the resort reservation) regardless of the fact that he/she didn't just fly into Orlando International Airport.

That is true, but the taxi from the grey hound to the airport is approximately the same price as taxi from greyhound to WDW.

I totally agree that it would be silly to pay for a ride to the airport in order to use DME, if the cost would be the same to pay for a ride directly to the person's resort.

Correct. Disney's Magical Express is available to anyone traveling to/from the Orlando Airport (which is why I said "traveling" instead of "arriving" or "flying into"; DME doesn't provide a ride to the bus or train station. I'm guessing that statement should have been clearer).

About the only reason for a bus passenger to head to the airport, perhaps, would be to avoid a cab altogether, and use Lynx public buses (to MCO from the bus or train stations) and DME (from MCO to your Disney resort) instead. You can take Lynx straight to WDW, but then you still have to get to your Disney resort with luggage, and apparently Disney has a policy against luggage on its buses (as reported on these boards, though I've never heard of it otherwise).
