I know this question has been asked many times and I should know the answer by now with the times I have been to Paris, but I'm still not sure
I'm taking DBF to DLP, but since this is his first time in Paris, I want to show him a bit of the city before heading to DLP.
We are going from CDG to Paris, around Paris by metro and then to DLP. I'm thinking about getting the Mobilis pass, but does this cover the CDG-Paris trip? Or should we get a Visite card? Or something completely different?

I know the Mobilis zones 1-5 ticket will cover you from Paris to DLP (and around Paris) but like you I'm not sure about the CDG to Paris bit.

Whilst CDG is in zone 5, it's excluded from the Mobilis ticket so you wouldn't be able to use it.

Couple of questions ;)

Are you under 26 and what day of the week are you talking about ?

None of us are under 26 and we will be going on a Sunday :-)

Ok that elimates the ticket jeune :goodvibes which would have worked well as it's a weekend.

You could get a Roissy bus that goes straight from CDG to right next to the Opera house for 10€ or the RER into Chatelet for 9.25€ and then depending on what you want to see walk from either of them stops or buy a metro ticket a piece for 1,70€

Then get a origine destination from any station in Paris to DLP for 7.20€

A Paris visite is 22,20€ for the day covering all 5 zones and the airport

Do you know what you want to see and do :goodvibes

Wow Carrie, once again you know all the answers :-)
We want to see the Eiffel Tower (champ de mars) and then go to Etolle, have lunch at champs Elysees, and take the train from Etolle to DLP. I think it would be about the same as a visite, maybe a little bit less, but it's nice not to have to think about tickets. I wasn't sure if a visite would cover the airport as well.

There the info sheet in English on Paris Visite with the prices and what it gets you

Don't eat on the Champs, it's rip off central and they take full advance of tourists. :rolleyes2

Even going a few streets off it will get you a nicer meal at a better price. :goodvibes

Thank you so much. I think we will get a Paris Visite. And you are so right about lunch... I should know this by now... Thanks again and happy new year :goodvibes
