Transporation to/from disney/universal

We are staying at Disney's POR and plan to go to Universal for two days. We have a group of three adults and two childrn ages 5-6. We really need the cheapest way to get there and back. Any suggestions?

Has anyone used the Orlando's main bus systme.

We though we might catch this for the ride to universal and then grab a taxi back in the late afternoon/night.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We took a taxi on the second day we went there. It was convenient, but pretty pricey (we only had 2 people though)
