Transporatation to/from Sanford

We are flying into Sanford. Is there a way to rent a car from Sanford drop it off at WDW (we are staying at the BWV), pick one up when we leave and drop it off at Sanford?

All though have not done it I beleave that you can rent from alamo at the sanford airport and drop of at the car care senter at WDW

Even better, rent from Alamo at Sanford, and return it to the Dolphin counter....short walk from BW. Then, if need be, rent for the return trip..just in reverse.

You can rent either Alamo or National at Sanford and drop at WDW. There are no drop fees for the Greater Orlando area.

Go with the one with the best price and drop it at the Swan/Dolphin.

Let us know how your Sanford experience is. There is a flight from Rockford, Il to Sanford, but we aren't using it. We're flying from O'hare to MCO so we can use Magical Express.

Hello from another Iowan. We have used Sanford from Des Moines and will be flying with them again on Monday. We loved the non-stop flight and Sanford seems even smaller than the Des Moines airport. It is very easy to get around.

We are also staying at the BWV. I was able to rent a van for one day throught Alamo for $38 (got it a couple of months ago) with a return to the Dolphin.

I do not know how long you are staying, but my trip is a week flying from Rockford to Sanford and I rented a full size car from Alamo for a week for $123, including all taxes and fees.

It might be about what you are paying for just two days, and then you'd have acar if you want to leave the world, and won't have any issues retrieving a re-rental.

I used the Wal Mart code, plus clicked on a coupon that Alamo had right on their web site.

I was wondering the same thing. We are also in iowa and are flying out next week from cedar rapids. My in-laws will be driving down and said they would pick us up but if we could save them the trouble then we just may. I was not sure what our options were. Thanks for the thread!!!

How long does it take to drive from Sanford to WDW? We are considering Sanford for our next trip ... non-stop and way cheaper!

Since WDW is such a huge place, you might want to check the driving directions from Sanford (SFB) to your resort's address. We're flying into Sanford next month and the yahoo map said the trip to POR would be about 44 minutes.

I also wanted to suggest renting a car for the whole time. If you're accustomed to getting a town car service, you might find that the cost to have a car available 24/7 is not much more that the town car plus tip.
