When transplanting, think WIDE and not DEEP, esp. with an evergreen.
If this was recently planted just dig them up carefully allowing at least 6" past the drip line (where the leaves stretch out too).
Pretend you were going to put them in a pot is about how I could describe it to you.
Plant immediately and water med-lightly daily as opposed to heavy soaking for a couple of weeks. The idea is to get the plant over shock. You want just enough water that it soaks it up and then dries out.
