Transition from EMH to park opening at MK

So I've been stalking MDE to get ideas of wait times on various days at various parks and hoping there might be some comparison to our upcoming May trip. Today I checked wait times at MK a few times between 8:00 and 9:00 - which was EMH - and we are also planning to attend the Friday EMH during our May week (May 11, specifically). They were nice and short (yay!). And yes, we do have PHs and plan to leave by early afternoon.

My question - how does the transition to park opening time work? I know that only Fantasyland and Tomorrowland are open during EMH. Our plan is to RD the EMH, ride Space, then Buzz (maybe 2x for Buzz) and then our goal is to be at Adventureland/Frontierland when those sections open, so we can do a few rides over there before our FPs start at 10:30. Will we have time for more than 1 Space ride and 2 Buzz before heading over towards Adventureland? What time should we head over (on MDE, those rides had short wait times posted already at 8:50) - and where to? - and will we get held somewhere? Will we end up in front of or behind the rest of the crowd coming for park opening (who weren't there for EMH)?

Thanks for any insight!!

1. Will we have time for more than 1 Space ride and 2 Buzz before heading over towards Adventureland?
2. What time should we head over (on MDE, those rides had short wait times posted already at 8:50) - and where to? -
3. and will we get held somewhere?
4. Will we end up in front of or behind the rest of the crowd coming for park opening (who weren't there for EMH)?
1. Almost assuredly. AM EMH can be very valuable.
2. BTM & Splash will likely have short lines for the first hour after they open.
3. The "ropes" will be in the Hub and near Small World/Haunted Mansion between
Fantasyland and Liberty Square.
4. All depends on how early you want to stand and wait.
I would NOT recommend wasting a lot of EMH time waiting for the other lands to open.

Keep in mind that typically the wait times that are posted right after RD are inflated. Our experience has always been that they start out the day with some kind of wait time posted (can be anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 minutes) for all rides, even when there is no wait at all. And often for the most popular rides they inflate the wait time even longer. We have had many time where the posted wait was anywhere from 30 minutes to 60 minutes yet we walked right on. I'm sure they do it because the lines for those rides can grow VERY quickly.

Thank you - I didnt know they inflated times - good to know!!

My experience with AM EMH at MK in May is that you can ride Buzz over and over again with little or no wait. So, yes, I think you can ride Space once, Buzz at least twice, possibly knock out some other attractions, and still get to the Liberty Square area for regular RD. You can really get a lot done when you RD EMH at MK at this time of the year.

The definitely increase the wait time at park opening! We were there for EMH and we waited for the rest of the park to open. Haunted Mansion claimed a 45 minute wait, but was a walk on. So was Splash. So was THunder Mountain. Pirates said 20 minutes but was 10 minutes. Being there early pays off for sure!
