Anyone heard of this? Mostly curious as they are building one in California. I also saw a friend post a picture of a set for the next film in Chicago. Seems like with the franchise growing that USF would need to get in on the action too.

I doubt seriously that attraction is coming here. I think the next big thing is going to be an HP expansion. If Universal was ready to retheme Marvel Super Hero Island then maybe Transformers would be an option but that's not happening for a LONG time.

Aren't the Transformers part of the Marvel 'Universe'? How would that play w/the whole Disney/Marvel thing?

Hmm, I have no idea. On the Disney Marvel shirts and things coming out it doesn't seem like Transformers are being included. That doesn't mean it isn't though.

Not really.

Marvel owns the rights to publish comics based on the property, but they don't own the property, itself.

Hasbro does....at least outside of Japan (where TakaraTomy owns the property).

That's what I couldn't recall. I thought Hasbro came into play, but it's been 20+ years since I looked at any of those books.

It wouldn't. Marvel can only be used in the US in the East in theme parks. In the West only by Disney. Since they are being used by US in California this means they are not part of Marvel.

Transformers are a Hasbro Toy property. . . .
