I'm in the process of trying to get a quote for a DCL cruise (my VERY FIRST cruise).

Can someone please explain to me just what TRANSFERS are? I don't know if I want them included in my quote.

Also, (this may sound dumb, like me) if I supply a DC member number for a 2004 cruise, I can pretty much kiss that discount goodbye, right?

Thanks in advance for helping a newbie!!

Transfers are the busses from the airport or resort to the ports and back. There are many opinions on whether or not to use the DCL transfers. I'm sure folks will be along to offer opinions. The Passporter's cruise guide sums the options up beautifully. As for the Disney Card discount: they're only good on sailings through 2003. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I gather that it's not suggested to park in Port Canaveral?

We're about 6 - 7 hours away by car, and weren't thinking about being transported from a third location to the ship.

As you can tell, I've never done a overnight cruise before. DH has done cruises, but not civilian ones.
