I'd like to ask what most people have done in regards to this. I think it's kind of steep to pay $59 per person as we have a family of five--$300!

Are there other shuttles? Rental Cars is another option. Please let me know what you all have done and if you were happy.

Oh, yeah. We're thinking of coming in the afternoon before and getting a hotel for the night.

Lastly, how did you get back to the airport after the cruise was over?

Thanks all for responding!!!

Lisa

We use a car service. This is much more convenient for us as well as much cheaper. They pick us up at the airport, drive us to our hotel in Cocoa beach, and then pick us up at the port the morning after the cruise, and bring us back to the airport.

WE usually take a taxi to the port from our hotel the morning of our cruise. It is like a five minute ride, so not costly. Most of the hotels have shuttles, but they start too late for me.. :)

There are many alternatives, and dcltribute.com is a Fantastic site to roam around and look at the different options.

Just to give you an idea, we were 11 people and it was 220$ PLUS TIP, round trip last September. With amazing service.. Murray Hill Transportation it was\

I have reserved a rental car each way for our upcoming cruise. This is our first cruise so I have no previous experience. I do know that it is going to be a TON cheaper. We will end up paying about $75 total for a family of 3. That even includes a convertable car for our day back. We are spending the day driving around the coast before we have to head back to Orlanda to catch an evening flight and though a convertable would be fun. I shopped around at tall the rental agencies and found a super rate with the help of www.mousesavers.com. She has all sorts of discount codes listed on her site!

We rented a car to go to/from port on our last cruise, and we will do the same for our upcoming cruise! We rented a mid size car from Budget for $25! Not only is Budget located in the terminal, but it is also the closest location to the port! For our family of 5, we got a bargain! Now only to figure how to fit our luggage in the trunk!? :teeth:

I just went on Budget for the heck of it, and the price for returning form port to airport was TWICE the price of airport to port. Did this happen to you?

THanks for any info.....

Apparently, Some airport locations offer a special rate!...MCO is one of those! I think I have a mid size rented from port to MCO for $47 It is still a bargain!
