Options from Universal are in no particular order,
Rent a car, Rent some type of private transportation such as limo, Mears, Coach USA, transportation or if Universal offers it, get to the airport then take the DCL bus from there. (Not to be confused with DME which only runs from the airport to WDW resorts) They might even have some type of transportation to the port, since they have an agreement with RCCL for land sea vacations. Id call and ask on that one.
There is only transport for royal cruises if you book their package and the only person Ive read that booked the package didn't have a good experience with it.
We used Orlando Airport Town Car from both Universal and WDW to Port Canaveral. I'm not sure how much it cost from Universal as that was last year. However, it cost approx $130 from WDW. I think they are great and definitely recommend. We got a towncar but there were only three of us. However, they were able to provide a car seat last year and booster this year too. You can make the reservation online. I'm pretty sure they will give you an estimate too if you ask for it.
The drivers have always been great - texting the night before to confirm and then texting to let you know when they have arrived at your resort. We have also used them from Port Canaveral back to the airport.
We used a limo b/c they said we had too many bags for a towncar*. And then the limo's trunkspace was just as big as a towncar's. The driver had to put my rollerbag carryon up front with him.
You guys I'm sure can use a towncar. You have fewer bags than we did (we take long trips). And we could have fit into a towncar with our luggage just fine. We drive a Grand Marquis at home, so we knew better than FLtours did about the capacity of a towncar trunk!
I don't recall the cost (and it was two years ago); just call them and find out.
*we didn't use an SUV because hubby had never ridden in a limo. so it was special for him. and now he's ridden in one and he's over it, so we can use the SUV in the future.
I do have to say, the SUV might be more comfy for you. Maybe. Official "towncars" aren't being made anymore (nor are Crown Victorias or Grand Marquis...they are all basically the same car), so that towncar fleet is going to be aging, and the SUVs stand a stronger chance of being new and nicer.

I figured that. I wasn't sure if the contract company might be able to do a DCL drop off if you call in advance. Sometimes the resort has other options also. Like Mears does the DCL busses but you can call and arrange your own Mears bus, or van from say Hotel Plaza.
