Has anyone transferred from a Disney Resort to off property? We are staying at CBR & need transfers to Universal & Islands. What is the cost? Our group is 10.
Thanks

Is spending the first or last couple of nights of your trip at USF or at an offsite hotel out of the question? If I could thats what I'd do...

We used FL Tours for our transfer from BWV to PBH -they also took all 10 of us in a large van from PBH to MCO. The van was large and very comfortable - plenty of room for our luggage and stroller. I don't remember the price as we had it all mixed up with several transfers and pick ups of different family members coming and going - but you could check their website right here on the DIS - they sponsor the transportation forum. You might have to call Andy directly to get a quote for a WDW resort to a USF resort transfer - I seem to recall that wasn't one of the options listed on the site when I booked - I had to add it as a transfer on to DHs round trip to the airport. If you're a DIS sponsor, they offer additional savings.

Mears run shuttles from WDW to US and IOA. Just give them a call from the resort to arrange a pick-up time. If i remember correctly its $14 each for a return fare.

With a party of 10, one of the Towncar services would be much better than Mears.

We took a Tiffany Towncar van to Universal twice on our trip in September of 2004. It was approximately $70 RT plus tip. It was personalized service only for us.

With Mears at $14 pp that would be $140 plus you don't get a pickup time of your choice and you will stop at many resorts both directions.

For one or two people, Mears is the best for Universal Transfers, but when you have 5 or more people, a Town Car is more reasonable.

we grabbed the free alamo/national shuttle to the car care center and picked up a rental for the day(s) we wanted to go to universal... we kept our package/room at wdw but also booked a room at a universal hotel (RPR) so we could get front-of-the-line passes and we valet parked our rental car at the hotel for free... it was the best of both worlds!
