I believe we scheduled the breakfast at Cape May at 8am to allow most of us to leave for the post around 10am.

So I think a 10am start time would be good.:thumbsup2

I would agree with 10:00. We are not staying in the area of the Dolphin (we're at VWL), so that would allow folks like us time to pack up, have breakfast at our resort (if we're not participating in the group breakfast that morning) and grab a taxi over to the Dolphin.

Thanks again.

I agree with 10. Gives everyone enough time to get over there.

ETA: I am ok with 9:30 also.

10:00AM is fine, but maybe we could do 9:30AM. I think allowing 90 minutes to eat breakfast and bring our bags to the bus is enough time. Just my opinion. I guess I'm just anxious to get there....Even 30 minutes sooner!

As early as possible! :rolleyes1
I'm right there with ya!

Don't tell Alicia, but I still think I'm driving ;)

No Kevin, No Don!!

Tracy the breakfast meet begins around 08.00 am so if it's 09.30 or 10.00 then there is enough time to eat at a calm pace (as calm as we can be).

So 09.30-10.00 is perfect.

First time cruisers, please remember that once you get to the port, if you are early, there is NOTHING TO DO but stand around. They won't let you on any earlier. You just stand there after you check in.

I have a question for you all. Some have said they want to get to the port early, others have said you have breakfast planned. Keeping in mind that we will want to allow driving time of about 1 hour, but check in and loading of the bus time so I want to say it will be 1 1/2 to 2 hours from the arrival of the buses until we arrive at the port.

What time would you like to see the buses arrive at the Dolphin?

No earlier than 9:00 am and no later than noon.

Thanks for your input!

between 9:30 and 10:00, I would say.

10 works for us, we have b-fast planned for 8:30 which we can move back to 8am I am guessing. Anything earlier than 10 will be just too early to eat, check out, drop off rental at dolphin and get our luggage on the bus. 10:30 might be easier but I know everyone is anxious

Question

Is it a problem if we take the transport only one way?? Kristen needs to get to the airport on the 14th, so figuring cost and timing it might be easier for us to keep our rental on the 14th- But we do not want to miss the fun!

Tracy...I would also agree with the 9:30am-10:00am option as well. There are about 60 of us, roughly, meeting for breakfast at Cape May Cafe beginning at 8:00am. That should give us enough time for breakfast and get back to the Dolphin...:)

Thank you Tracy for asking our opinion. We are also in the CMB breakfast club, so 9:30-10 is great.

Thanks again.

If the bus leaves the Dolphin between 10 and 10:30, we won't get to the port until 11 am at the earliest. They usually start boarding at 11:30 or so, but generally before noon. Everyone will need to check in and get their Key to the World Cards, get their photos taken. I'm sure first time cruisers will want to check out the terminal with the cool floor and the ship model, maybe get pictures with the characters in the terminal, plus the Disney characters are there too for pictures :lmao: Those with kids can get them all signed up for the kids programming. The 30-60 minutes will pass by very, very quick.

One way transfers will be allowed. Also, Kristen could use DCL transfers one way to the airport ($35) and depending on her carrier, this could be much better than taking a car. With certain airlines you can check your luggage and get your boarding passes on the ship, not having to pick up luggage in the terminal. We usually do this when we are flying certain carriers and have an earlier flight.

I guess I should just explain what I meant, Tracy. I think leaving by 10:00 is great, but wouldn't want people to think they are missing out on anything by not leaving at 9:00 (or earlier)!

Depending on the sailing, I have been known to get to the port at 7:15 or a bit later. I can tell you that you will be standing outside waiting for the port to open at 10:00 am and then wait for the agents to start working on getting you checked in after 10:30 am.

The reason I have gone that early is to get together with my fellow cruisers that we have met online for such a long time and build the excitement. If you guys are having breakfast together, meeting at the Dolphin, meeting at the Polynesian, you don't have that reason.

Great. I'm a hired thug now. :sad2:
:love2: You will be paid handsomely when you get home...
