I am going to be staying at the Swan for the first 2 days of my upcoming trip, then transferring to the Wilderness Lodge for the rest of the trip. Since the Swan is not a Disney owned resort, will they transfer luggage from there to the WL? If not, what is the easiest way to transfer? Can you take luggage on board buses to the parks?

We switched from the Poly to the swan in august. DH inquired at the front desk at the Poly. Their response was officially we do not do this as its not a disney hotel, but we "can" do it for you, also known as we will do anything if the tip is right. After waiting for our luggage 6 hours last year from the poly to the yacht club we decided dh and one ds would take a taxi with the luggage. This was 3 huge suitcases and 1 duffel and backpack. 2DS and I took the monorail to mk and got on the swan bus. By the time we got there , dh was in the lobby waiting for us and ds was in the room already checked in with the luggage resting on the heavenly bed watching tv. The taxi and tip was less than $15. Yes you could take your luggage on the bus then the boat to the wilderness lodge. Its a free option and I guess it would also depend how much time you have. The taxi was more convenient for us and we were able to get back to being in the parks more quicker and less stress on everyone. Those are your 2 options. Good luck deciding and enjoy your trip. You will love both hotels.
