Transferring Luggage From one WDW Resort to Another

If I do a split stay and use ME to get to my first resort from the airport (say a few evenings at POR) and then want to change to a different resort (say SRS), will Disney move my luggage for me since I am moving from one WDE resort to another? Will I have any problem using ME to return to the airport at then end of the trip since I have changed resorts?

No, you shouldn't have any problems with DME if you change resorts. I've done it twice and it worked out fine both times. As far as Disney moving your luggage, yes, they will do that for you. You will have to let the bell services people in your first resort know you need to do this. Check with them the night before you have to move. Then, at the prearranged time, they will take your luggage. It will get to the new resort later in the day....late afternoon. The only complaint I have had is the length of time it takes to get my stuff. If I have given it to Bell Services at 8 am I would think that the new resort would have it by 4 pm, but that has yet to be the case. So, be sure to have anything you may need for the day with you. I now suggest taking a tote bag, with anything needed for the day, and leaving it with BS at the new resort. That way, if I get back to the resort/room, and my bags aren't there yet, I can still freshen up or swim.

As far as DME goes, just be sure the new resort has you listed for pick-up on your departure date.

It's really super easy! Goofy4Tink gave you some great info there! I usually have bell services get my luggage in the morning, and then I check into the second resort after official check in time--my luggage is always there by then.

Just a little tip, when I chage resorts, I always pack the clothes I need for one resort in one bag, and the clothes for the second resort in a second. That way I don't even have to open a bag until the second half of my trip.

I've never done a split stay before, but will this July for an unexpected trip with my Dsis and Dniece. We'll be switching from YC to SSR halfway...so the packing tip will save me some hassle.

For the first time in May. I am leaving POP to go to POFQ! So, all I do is contact Bell Services the night before, they pick up the luggage, and drop it off at POFQ? Do I need a Luggage tag, or do they put it on them selves?
