Transferring into ride vehicles

One more Haunted Mansion tip: there is a part where the "doom buggy" turns backwards and goes down a slight incline. It's not bad at all, but someone with upper body instability may slip to the side. Just a heads up that a companion may want to be ready to offer an arm to help steady her.

Ooh, Mary, that was a great tip. I hadnt thought about it but I remember sliding around in the doom buggy with my kids. And I still have some upper body strength, so I imagine it would be hard for someone if they cant hold on at all. And, I'm still a little upset about the way they have the disabled line for haunted mansion set up. But that's another story....

Wow, I came on here hoping to help or offer advice. But I see everything has been covered!

The only other thing I can add, is when you look at the ride vehicle, just make sure you will be able to get her out of the ride vehicle well as getting in.

My DH will try anything! So we've managed to get ourselves in some pretty tight spots. We'll get him on, he'll ride & have a blast, but then we'll have serious problems getting him out. Test Track is one that was really tough!
He can manage EE & Soarin pretty easily. We can also get him on TOT if he transfers to a manual chair first. We've given up on Pirates & Splash Mountain, as I said we can get him in but it's too deep to manage a safe lift out.
