Transferring from one resort to another?

I've seen many people on here spending part of their stay in one resort then the rest in another. Thinking of doing three days at CBR and three at AKL. Question is, when we check out of one, can we bring our luggage to the other even before checkin while we go enjoy the parks? How does Disney work this?

Disney makes it very easy to switch resorts by transferring your luggage for you. Just tell the bell person where you want the lugagge to go and they will take care of it. It should be at the new resort by 3:00 pm. In the meantime, you can either hit the parks and then check-in, or check-in then hit the parks, or check-in and lounge around by the pool-whatever works best for you! We have done this several times and have never had a problem. I think it's fun to experience a couple of different resort themes while down there. Have fun!

Does anyone know if the Dolphin does this too. We were going to do the late checkout and have luggage sent to the Poly while we are at the parks. Should I allow a certain amount of time for our luggage to arrive? Thanks for the help

I don't know about the Dolphin moving your things to another Disney resort but we are staying at CR first and then moving to the Dolphin the second week. Disney sent me a written confirmation (by e-mail) that yes they would transfer our luggage to the Dolphin for us. Perhaps they have a deal worked out or something. Anyway I would just call down to the Dolphin and ask. Good luck.
