Hey guys...I think I posted this before, but I can't find the thread anywhere! :(
We're staying at ASSp for the first three nights of our vacation, then transferring to BWV on Saturday morning, May 1...HOW on Earth do we get all our stuff from one place to the other? Does Disney do transfers? Should we call a cab? This is the first time I've ever transferred and I'm at a loss!! Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!

We're doing the same thing in August. It is my undestanding that your 'stuff' will be transferred from the AllStars to BWV. But, it won't be quick!!! We are thinking about grabbing a cab and doing it ourselves. Or just take a small bag with you when you go to check-in. THen off to the parks and hopefully your things will be there when you get back.

I'm thinking we'll probably go the taxi route also...we'll just request that they send one of those mini van taxis instead of the sedans since we'll have 4 sets of golf clubs, one bat bag, two suitcases and whatever carry-on stuff we'll have. Sounds like a good plan to me...thanks for the idea :)

It really depends on how you want to do it...

If you want to go over there now, and check in now, and get your stuff now... then you'll need to get a taxi.

If you want to head off to the parks, and let Disney do it for you, then you have that option as well. Give a call to Luggage Assistance the night prior to the transfer. Leave your bags packed, and ready to go in your room, and head off to the parks for the day. Luggage Assistance will come pick up your stuff while you're gone, and it will be transferred to your new resort between 1-3pm that day.

Check in time for the villas is 4:00pm. So if your room is not ready in the morning (and very often it's not), your luggage will have to be left with bell services. So you might as well have ASSP bell services bring it over to BWV. Then when you get into your villa, you call down and it's brought up to you.

Good advice from Chip and Dale and Figment...:)
If check-in time isn't until 4:00 and my fiance's team is still playing in the softball tourney over at WWoS, maybe we'll just have Luggage Assistance pick it up, we'll be at the complex most of the day and by the time we get over to the BWV to check in, the luggage will probably be there too!
Guess we have a couple of options, maybe we'll do that instead of the taxi now...hmmm

Thanksk Tyler, Another question for you. We will have groceries for use at BWV. Is there any problem transferring them also? How would luggage assistance prefer them to be 'bagged'? Should I just leave them in the bags from the store? Thanks. Seems no matter where they put you, you're a font of knowledge.

Just leave them in your bags. When you call Luggage Assistance, let them know you'll need a "Blue Bin." We use these blue bins to hold and keep grocery bags in check. If you have anything that needs refrigeration, let us know about that, too. We do have a fridge that can keep things cool for you. :)
