Transferring fastpasses to different ticket?

I purchased a 2 day ticket at regular price for my son and arranged fast passes. We are tagging along to a conference my DH is going to next week and they just sent out information about buying discounted park tickets. We are also going in August.

I was thinking I could buy the discounted ticket and save the other ticket for August (paying down longer pass?) Will this mess up fast passes? I will save $20-$30 on the pass. In August, I'm getting DS a 10 day pass. I have an AP.

No. As long as you have tickets in the account, everything will be fine.

Just make sure you stop at Guest Services prior to entering the park so they can set the priority to the tickets so the one you intend to use is being used.
