Transferred Points...

Hello!

I had 82 points transferred to me last Wednesday, February 19. I looked on the website and don't see them listed anywhere? Is there a certain place the points are listed? Please help...getting a little worried

Transferred points do not show up on the member's website. Just be sure when making a res. with those points you are very specific with MS that those are the points you want to use. I have had a couple of small issues when trying to use transferred points. They have been corrected, but still problems. For example, I just made a res. with these points and the system would not let MS access the trans. points. So MS held the res. I wanted and had to get back with me. It took about an hour or so. No big deal, because I had the room on hold, just had to wait for the conf.

I don't think it is possible to show up on the member website since transferred points retain their original resort and use year. They could not combine them to show on the website.

The small print somewhere on the page says that transfered points will not be listed on the website. Also, I used my transfered points within an hour of them being transfered. Call Monday if you are worried that they are not there.

both times i 'bought'/transferred points into my account, the deal was the other member would 1st transfer them to my account, i would call MS & then authorize payment.

if i had defaulted, assume they could've just removed them from my account now i'm wondering if that is true & they could've been taken back even after I had paid for them

Actually, you were at no risk and the person who transferred the points to you was at great risk. Transferring is a final transaction. It cannot be undone. Had you defaulted, the other person's only option would have been legal action.

This is at least part of the reason DVC says members cannot receive compensation for transferring points. It lets them off the hook if there is a dispute.

According to the CM they should show up under the account activity screen. They are still not showing anywhere and it's been 5 days!

They should have went straight to your account from the other DVC members account. I have had them transferred to my account just once and it was an immediate thing.

Do you know the person that transferred them to you?
