transferred points- use year question

Hello- I am a little bit confused about the use year for transferred points- do they assume the "new" owners use year or the original owners? If they retain their own use year, then the window for a reservation at that resort becomes 11 months, right?? TIA

The transferred points retain their own home resort status and UY. But UY doesn't affect when you can book a reservation unless if you are asking if you can use transferred points at 11 months at their own home resort (if those points are different then your own).

I believe the answer is yes. For example, if someone owns AKV, and has BLT points transferred into his/her account, he/she can use the BLT points for reservations there 11 months from check in day. But he/she can not combine those points with his/her own AKV points until 7 months.

That definitely helps! My in-laws and my family are starting to talk about next year, all staying in OKW the week of Thanksgiving, maybe even a GV and none of us own at OKW so.... I want to weigh what our options are. Thanks again!
