Can transferred points from a member's contract at a resort (OKW) be transferred to another member's contract at a different resort (AKL)? Or does the resort have to remain the same?
Yes OKW points can be transferred to a DVC member who does not own OKW. In your example, the OKW points don't get deposited into the receiving member's AKV contract, they are tracked separately somehow by MS and, as Michael said, retain their home resort and UY. The transferred OKW points could be used to book OKW in the 11-month window but cannot be used to book any other resort until 7 months from check-in.
When a member receives a transfer of points that do not match both a resort and UY they already own, those points are not visible online. You have to call MS to make a reservation using those points. If you receive a transfer that does exactly match a resort and UY you own, the transferred points can be deposited into the matching contract and can be used to book online.
