Ok I just transferred my 2009 resi to DU, but I have never transfered my 08 Mexican Riviera Cruise that I had rebooked while on the cruise...Can I still do that and get the obc or would I have had to do it back when I originally made the reservation? thanks..

I think you can transfer the Mexican Riviera cruise too - there's still a generous OBC offer on... :thumbsup2

Wish I could answer you but I asked the agent I have been working with that same question yesterday afternoon and she has yet to get back to me. I know they are the board sponsor, but this is the second time I've tried to use DU and am not thrilled with their response time. Sometimes its immediate and sometimes (like now) it's days. I may just go back to booking direct.

Yes, you can still transfer your reservation to DU. I do it with all cruises I book onboard.

Just transfered two reservations to DU .............. Just fill out form with complete and proper information and its done ........................:thumbsup2

Why would you transfer your trip to DU? I am getting ready to book our first cruise and am confused??

Maybe it was your agent's day off. Most people do not work 7 days a week, and it could be that your agent was off from work and will get back to you.

Many people do this to get an additional shipboard credit. DU usually offers a shipboard credit for booking a cruise with them.

I guess what I don't like about Dreams is it's all done via email. I prefer to talk to a human being. That way I'd know if they were off and that there was someone I could talk to instead. After our first cruise I wondered what all the excitement was about using Dreams so I tried for #2 to transfer a reservation and met with a rude response from someone who seemed frustrated that I didn't know how it worked and needed an explanation. So I gave up that time. Now this time, I found someone who I think truly wants to help but the way Dreams works just doesn't work well for me. Just like some people don't like cruising with DCL (I know. horrors) one travel agent can't be for everyone.

I am doing it for the on board credit...after watching these boards for a while and asking questions I decided to do it..the only reason I hadn't is that I am used to doing it myself.

You can transfer your reservation as long as there is still a balance due on it. Once it is paid in full, you can't transfer. I have dealt with Sue Ellen and find her great to work with:)
