If I have already booked my 3 day $99 cruise through Disney am I still able to transfer it to another travel agent? I would like to be able to transfer it to AAA to get the free mugs.

Thanks

Generally, yes, but you'll need to check with AAA to see if they have any restrictions on transferring reservations.

Just a note, as a professional courtesy, most travel agents do NOT accept transferred reservations from another agency. You would have to transfer it back to DCL or cancel and re-book.

If you booked originally with DCL then transfers are not a problem. :)

I'm sorry, my post was incorrect. We did originally book with DCL and transferred to AAA. We were going to book with Dreams Unlimited but ended up booking directly through DCL instead and like you said, DCL had no problem transferring our reservation to AAA.

I once tried to transfer a reservation made through DCL to Costco, who gave us a 10% rebate on the trip. I WAS able to do it, but not without a problem. A DCL supervisor called me and told me that if I did this, that I would not own the reservation and that Costco could now "do anything" to it that they wanted. I asked why a travel agent might change my reservation without telling me, and she conceeded that they wouldn't if they wanted to remain in business. But she really made me insecure about doing this. In the end, there were no problems, but the cruise line was not happy about it, probably because they had to pay Costco a commission, which they didn't have to do when I booked directly through them.
