Transfering points between accounts

How is this done?

My situation is that in April 2104 I used my SSR June UY contract points to book a November Sat & Sun at BW-SV costing 50 points. This depleted all my SSR points. Since then I've purchased via resale a 25 point March UY BW contract. I now hope to upgrade my weekend from Standard View to Boardwalk view(requiring 13 more points)using my newly acquired 25 point contract. So I want to combine June UY SSR points with March UY BW points.

From reading these forums it seems I must transfer my BW March UY points into my SSR June UY account. Is this correct and if so, how do I do it? Can Disney refuse to execute the transfer for any reason?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Transfered points retain their home resort status and UY and they must be available in your account for the reservation dates.

IMO it's too much work to make it worth having more than one UY unless you have enough points to not have to transfer. Transfers do not show up in your account and we had problems in the past with MS using the points.

should work. call MS to do the transfer. as noted, you cannot book online with your transferred pts but MS should be able to help you make the reservation if there is availability.

the only issue you might run into is if you need to get pts transferred from another DVC owner, you are only allowed one transfer per UY. (sometimes i think DVC has not counted the transfer between accounts with the same owner but sometimes they do.)

remember that banked and borrowed pts cannot be transferred.

also, while you CAN bank transferred pts into the next UY, you can never borrow transferred pts.

Yes, MS will allow you to transfer your points between your memberships and it will NOT count as your one-per-year transfer.

For future reference, you can also reserve as many nights as possible from one contract and reserve as many other nights from the other and have MS link them together into one reservation. With banking and borrowing, you would have up to 75 BWV points for a reservation at BWV and can make that reservation right at 11 months. By combining with your SSR points you can only reserve at 7 months.
