Transfering and Use Years....One per "Real or U/Y"

Can anyone please tell me how does Disney define "one transfer per year".
Is it Use Year or once per "real" calendar year.

You can transfer points from the current Use Year (at this time, everyone is still in their 2011 UY) and from the next Use Year (2012). Members are allowed one such transfer, either into or out of their Use Year.

You could make two transfers with one call to MS - where you could transfer points tomorrow from your 2011 Use Year into another member's 2011 Use Year and also make a transfer from your 2012 Use Year into another member's 2012 Use Year.

If you have a February Use Year, you could call again on Feb. 1 and transfer points from your 2013 Use Year into another member's 2013 Use Year (providing they also had a Feb UY).

Thank you. So, it would not matter when I call for each U/Y, the bolded part confused me when you said I can call after the last date of the U/Y.
So, I have a Sept. U/Y, I can call tomorrow and trasfer to someones account my points in my 2011 Sept. U/Y and call again the same day or next and transfer points from my 2012 Sept. U/Y to someone else's account?

Can borrowed points be transferred? If I have 41 borrowed points in my Sept 2011 U/Y, I know I can rent them for a trip up until August 31, 2012 but can them be transferred for a trip up until August 2012? Thanks so much!

Not sure why, but I was allowed to receive a transfer into my 2012 UY while still in my 2010 UY. The person transferring was also still in their 2010 UY because we both had the same one--June. It did take place, however, in May of 2011.

We thought we would have to wait, but when we called, they said that was no problem and allowed the transfer to go through--and because it was the same resort that I own, with the same UY, I could actually see the transferred points in my account!

They did tell me that it counted as my one and only transfer for the 2012 UY.

No, you can not transfer points that have been borrowed. Only points that are still current UY status can be transferred. You can not transfer banked points either.

However, someone receiving a transfer can bank those points. Points retain their own UY and resort.

Here is the actual wording on the current rule.

During a given Use Year, only one (1) Transfer per Club Member or Club membership, either as Transferee or Transferor, will be permitted.

As written, DVC could extend the interpretation to any contract the member in question were listed on. Their current interpretation seems to be as Deb & Bill state, one per master contract.
